Economic Development Program

The B.O.S.S.™ program is an 8 week cohort program designed to help entrepreneurs set up their businesses the correct way from the beginning. The goal is to avoid the growing pains that some new business owners experience due to lack of information and assistance. The program meets once a week for two hours. B.O.S.S. Program Application

Life Readiness Program

The Village Life Readiness Programs are designed to build a creative and collaborative learning community where students improve their academic and social emotional skills and further refine their post-secondary aspirations. They will improve their communication, writing, presentation, and collaboration skills. We offer two programs for our youth-Baby B.O.S.S. and Resume Bootcamp. Baby B.O.S.S. Program

Our Baby B.O.S.S. Program provides entrepreneurship education and training to high school students. The eight-week program will teach students an entrepreneurship mindset, entrepreneurial skills and provide business tools to assist students in starting and operating a business. Resume Bootcamp

Our Resume Bootcamp helps our youth develop the tools they need to enter the job market. In our four-week program, our youth will learn:

 

  • How to write a resume
  • How to interview for jobs (with mock interviews and feedback)
  • What to do after they have secured the job
